EIM Bearing completed a spherical roller bearing project for a Brazilian customer that needed bearings for high-load gearbox shaft positions.
The main purchasing concern was dimensional accuracy. The customer had experienced difficulty obtaining the required tolerances from previous suppliers, so the project began with engineering review and sample verification before the bulk order.
Customer Requirement: Verify Tolerances Before Bulk Production
On August 8, our sales and engineering teams reviewed the requested bearing model, dimensional requirements and production feasibility.
Detailed drawings were prepared and approved by the customer on August 11. The approved drawing then became the reference for sample production and inspection.
Samples were produced on August 15 and sent to Brazil for evaluation. The customer received them on August 21 and confirmed that the sample results met the project requirements.

From Sample Approval to Bulk Order
After sample approval, the discussion moved to pricing, packaging and delivery schedule. The customer confirmed the bulk order on September 15.
This sequence reduced purchasing risk by confirming the drawing and sample before the full production quantity was released.

Shipment Completed by Sea
The bulk order was shipped by sea on October 10, 2026.
For gearbox applications, bearing selection depends on shaft size, load direction, speed, alignment conditions and the required dimensional accuracy. EIM supplies standard and drawing-based spherical roller bearings for industrial applications.
